We all sometimes dream of traveling around the world, from one city to another. It sounds like a great adventure, but we are often limited by our budgets. This kind of traveling seems too lavish, so we eventually give up on the idea more often than not.

But, not anymore. As a form of traveling, backpacking is quickly becoming more popular. It seems to be far more convenient than regular traveling. All you need is a backpack, and maybe a map, and you are ready to go! Hotel charges or plane ticket fares are also not a problem, as backpackers tend to choose cheaper youth hostels and cheaper transportation. This is convenient for another reason – it gives travelers more flexibility when deciding how much time they want to spend in a certain place.

Experienced backpackers will be able to list numerous reasons why backpacking is the best way to travel. They will tell you that it is a great opportunity to see the world, to experience cultures up close, to meet locals, and to make new friends. They will tell you that backpacking will make you more open-minded, as it will offer a variety of different perspectives on life.
